Last Friday my family’s farm market started our hayrides to pick your own apples. Like where did summer go?! I loveeee fresh, crisp apples but I don’t want peach season to end! There are so many recipe ideas I wanted to make this summer and I didn’t get around to it, will keep them for next year.
This weekend my brothers are going to can peaches, which is my favorite. I won’t be able to help them as my husband and I are making this weekend just about us two. We only have 5 more weeks until baby Bryce gets here, my husband and I need a relaxing day together. He has been working hard to get his ride time done for his paramedic along with working full time. Needless to say, we don’t see each other so this weekend is NEEDED! I waited too long to book anything so I am thinking a long day at the beach and just being with him will do.
We were almost done the nursery with all the furniture in it, until I threw a wrench and decided to change the paint color. From the beginning I wanted a pure white room, which my husband didn’t agree with my simple color. So we went with the light gray that is around our house (because he wouldn’t do white throughout the house). Until I decided to repaint it a few days ago. My husband handled my decision without complaining…like how did I get so lucky with this man?! My crazy ideas and he still loves and accepts me!
Writing this I am getting emotional thinking about how quickly this pregnancy has gone by. Yes, I am super stoked to have this baby that we prayed for for awhile. At the same time, it is crazy to know my whole life is about to change. Being pregnant has been AMAZING and his little kicks make me smile. I know there are going to be so many challenges and changes with the baby, but I can’t wait for Andy and I to love on this child and raise him as a child of God!
Like I said before, I don’t want peach season to end. I whipped up this quick smoothie bowl for a refreshing breakfast with peaches being the highlight. Enjoy!
